The patient lies in dorsal decubitus (lies on his back). He raises the legs, bending the knees and keeping his soles on the floor. The therapist kneels so that the patient’s legs to be between his knees, then he supports his hands on the patient’s knees, under the knee caps. Using his own weight, he pushes the patient’s legs towards the chest. In the last part of the movement, the therapist straightens his legs (lifting the knees from the floor) being only supported by the toes. There are 2 repetitions. The aim is to obtain maximum flexion during the patient’s exhale. The procedure is performed slowly, without forcing and using the weight of the body to reach the possible maximum of the movement.
