Starting from the position described above, the patient’s arm is placed at c 45o from the torso, the terminal area of the forearm reaching between the therapist’s knees. The therapist massages the arm along two lines (internal and external, the sides of the brachialis biceps) two times, in c. 6 to 8 points with the thumbs overlapped, the other fingers securing the arm.
This description presents the manner in which the procedure is performed on the left side of the patient. Similarly, the same steps are followed on the right side. In the standard version, the procedure is first performed on the left side and then on the right side.
