WARNING! The description of the procedures is indicative-mnemonic and is strictly addressed to learners, because it is imperative for the Yumeiho® instructors to acquire and apply them correctly, efficiently and without risk. The order and description of the procedures is in line with “YUMEIHO” – Instruction Manual for g. 1 – Krakow, 1997.
The therapist kneels framing with his calves both sides of the patient’s left leg. The posterior side of the calf is massaged using vertical pressure followed by pulling motions with the overlapped thumbs, on three lines in 6-8 points starting from under the popliteal area and all the way to the calcaneus. The midline is massaged twice, the internal and external ones only once.
This description presents the manner in which the procedure is performed on the left side of the patient. Similarly, the same steps are followed on the right side. In the standard version, the procedure is first performed on the left side and then on the right side.
