WARNING! The description of the procedures is indicative-mnemonic and is strictly addressed to learners, because it is imperative for the Yumeiho® instructors to acquire and apply them correctly, efficiently and without risk. The order and description of the procedures is in line with “YUMEIHO” – Instruction Manual for g. 1 – Krakow, 1997.
The therapist puts the shin of the right lower leg on the patient’s right thigh, with the inside of the left knee securing the left hip bone of the patient; then the therapist extends his left hand under the left armpit placing the right hand of the patient on the left shoulder and grabbing him on the joint of the shoulder. Then he pushes the patient’s right shoulder and pulls with the right hand to rotate the patient’s body towards left. If the therapist senses a significant resistance then he increases the performance force using his own weight. Throughout the motion, the trunk must be kept in a vertical position. Also the patient’s pelvis must be firmly secured between the thighs. There are two repetitions.
The description above presents the manner in which the procedure is executed on the left side of the patient. The same steps are to be followed on the right side. In the standard version, the procedure is first performed on the left side and then on the right side.
