WARNING! The description of the procedures is indicative-mnemonic and is strictly addressed to learners, because it is imperative for the Yumeiho® instructors to acquire and apply them correctly, efficiently and without risk. The order and description of the procedures is in line with “YUMEIHO” – Instruction Manual for g. 1 – Krakow, 1997.

The patient must sit on his heels and the therapist must squat (on his tiptoes) behind him, with the knees brought together and placed symmetrically towards the patient’s spine; he must reach his arms under the patient’s armpits, slightly hooking his shoulders with the hands and pulling towards himself. Then the therapist fixes his forehead on the lower side of the patient’s occipital bone. The patient’s back is fully extended, securing firmly the knees over the iliac crests and pulling the shoulders; all the while, the therapist must fix with his forehead the back head of the patient and the patient must relax his body keeping his hands at his sides. When the maximum tension of the patient’s back is performed it is also performed a short and firm pull of the shoulders horizontally. The knees do not push the back of the patient, they only secure it. The pulling is performed in 3 – 5 points starting with the iliac crest and all the way to the upper angle of the shoulder blades.
